ENCUEN . . . TRITO ?

The ENCUENTRITO was created in 2018 by two people, Christian COUDERETTE, then President of the Tangopostale Festival in Toulouse, and Christian GLAIZE (“DJ CyberChris”), stage manager of the Tangosud Festival in Montpellier.

Jeanne VERNIERES, administrator at Tangopostale, and Patricia LAJOUS immediately joined the team, which has grown since the summer of 2025 with the arrival of Jean-Marc ROURE, currently Secretary of Tangopostale, and his wife Sylvie DECOSTER.

The idea came from the frustration experienced when participating in various encuentros during which, in the end, few connections were made between participants, who were most often spread out among various accommodation sites or lost in huge hotels with a heterogeneous clientele.

What are the strengths of this event, inspired by the “encuentros” while modifying some of their characteristics?

• The sharing of living spaces allows for a genuine connection between passionate tangueros from many countries, many of whom are familiar with the tango of Buenos Aires where the project took shape over the course of encounters, mainly from 2018 to 2024. This explains the significant proportion of participants coming from abroad — for example, in 2025: 42 participants out of 160, originating from or coming from 18 different countries.
  The spacious ballroom, equipped with a stage, benefits from natural light in the afternoon thanks to its large windows overlooking the pool and the park. Its walkways host the savory-sweet-soft drinks buffet included in the packages (to which is added a cash bar with alcoholic drinks in the evening).
• A turnkey weekend including 6 to 8 milongas depending on the length of stay chosen by the participant, on-site accommodation, buffet meals, soft drinks and snacks during the dances, and transportation assistance for participants arriving by plane or train.
• An exclusively tango environment as all 98 accommodations in the Roquebrune-sur-Argens Miléade holiday village (58 rooms and 40 villas) and all associated facilities are reserved for us (restaurant, pool, wellness area, gym, bar, park) starting Friday, in a magnificent region (with Saint Raphaël and Sainte Maxime nearby), and Saint Tropez only 20 minutes away by shuttle boat…
• A participant limit of 170 for a warm friendly atmosphere with a leader-follower balance while still accepting individual registrations  where possible.
